Our main picture this edition shows the shop run by Miss Jane May in Chapel Road, she was the sister of George May who ran the Rosemount store where Tesco Express is now. Later the shop was run by Cyril Hassell as shown in the photograph on the left. Today the building is long gone, the turning into Chapel Close and the bungalow on the corner marking its position.
